4.5/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web
An important mythological, historical, and archaeological sites in Greece, Delos serves as a World Heritage Site and showcases the ruins of civilizations from the Aegean world dating back to the 3rd millennium BCE. The island was believed to be a popular Mediterranean trading port, largely due to its location within the Cyclades archipelago--known as Apollo's birthplace and home to the sun god's sanctuary. Visit the site to see the fruits of extensive excavations, including artifacts housed in the on-site museum. Take a quick boat ride from the main island to get there, and then opt to follow a guide or wander on your own. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring lots of sunscreen and water. • Delos is a Museum Island. True open-air museum. All dates from the ancient time. According to legend it was here that would be born Apollo and nothing but the foundations but it is a city with streets of houses of the palaces of the temples of the stadiums. It reminds very hot on Delos so well you protect from the Sun and especially bring enough water to drink during the visit. Always talk with people on the trips take time to know people Greeks Italians Arabs everywhere or you will create contacts because only this way we understand people their stories their religions beliefs give a smile a hand your friendship and you will receive so much in return. This is close to my heart touch with people especially during travel, as this can be friends for life. It can do much more than our presidents or other leaders of our world can do. In Athens I was able to discuss with Pakistani youth from 16 to 17 years afghans and they almost excuse beings of Muslims. So you see as our world needs to talk about warmth and that everyone can do so at any time in the world. The smile is the most powerful weapon in the world and that more does not suffer costs nothing and say everything shows it all. So I ask you all to make peace prepare a world best tolerant human opened a world like a great trip that lasts a lifetime
