  • A museum devoted to the naval histry of the island. You can find there the historical lines that connect the war, commercial, constructive and economical activities throughout the years.

  • Little museum, but very nice staff. Used less than an hour there.
  • Very nice place. Preserves Greek cultural heritage. Amazing and friendly staff. Strongly recommend to visit when you are in chios.
  • Great museum in a small island. If you are interested in ship modelling, you have to visit this one. I hope one day Çeşme will have a maritime museum.
  • We wanted to visit the museum and it is closed on weekends. Does this make sense? We are here for a few days and leave on Sunday. So we will miss it and I suppose many other visitors will miss it. If it was private?
  • The Chios Maritime Museum is housed in a traditional mansion of the town centre, property of the late Anastasios and Marouko Patera. The people of Chios have a long contribution to maritime and commerce. The Museum’s basic aim is to present in the best way, this very important partof this island's life. It does so through the collection of objects and data connected to Chios maritime tradition, as well as to the evolution of maritime and commercial shipping in general.
