  • A nice museum with two floors of exhibits and clear care put into several parts. Most displays are helpfully provided in both English and Greek. The exhibit design could use some improvement in cohesion and telling an overall narrative, but it was nonetheless a good use of two hours for €3.
  • Very cheap and it offers a lot. Perfect place to find out more about the history of Crete in general, and more specifically about Chania. I really enjoyed it and it shouldn't be missed while in town!
  • Very interesting museum in a beautiful building on the Venetian Harbor. Definitely worth a visit to learn about the unique nautical history of Crete. Especially interesting to see are the models of the Chania at different points in history - very helpful for a traveler to make sense of Chania's complicated history, and why it looks the way it does today.
  • Fairly basic but really charming nonetheless. Good place to get out of the heat for a while at the very least. 3 stars but I really enjoyed it.
  • Great museum showcasing mainly Greek naval history with some additional elements of American naval forces. Primarily shows world war 2 era history, however there is some from the modern and more historical eras. The ship models are very well done.
