Where to stay in Chania Town

Many package tourists on Crete stay in comfortable hotels outside Chania Town, though this lively seaport offers accommodations ranging from inexpensive hostels to five-star resorts. If you too prefer to stay out of town, consider one of the surrounding area's well-appointed villas and apartments, which provide secure parking and access to private outdoor spaces. Stick to the city's harbor area for fine shopping and dining, or check out the old town's boutique hotels for good atmosphere, friendly service, and proximity to sandy beaches.

  • Very small. Nice lady at the entrance. Pay 2 euro per person.
  • If you have spare time in Hania, you can go through the whole house in less than 30 minutes. It would be better if there were more descriptions of how life was back then. In addition, the cigarette smoke in the house was annoying and interfered to our visit. It is important to keep the old style of living documented and this kind of places should continue to be functional. The women there work really hard to maintain the museum.
  • Small interesting museum
  • Nice place, great collection of greek and roman coins
  • Very interesting
