Installed on a pretty square, this church is sober and elegant. Inside, lots of woodwork and pretty icons put places in value.

I had never visited an Orthodox Church and didn't know what to expect; low light, no altar, a plan that the top is different to what we are used to seeing us, at least in Italy. Certainly has its charm and it's nice to also observe the faithful who pray.

Greece-Orthodox Church is currently used on different days like the other review, religion. That memory was being used as a mosque minaret is very impressive. We felt very strange melody Bell time and stayed near the ring, was woken up by the sound of the Bell every morning. Greece-Orthodox icons, such as numerous decorated interior is prohibited, but the local people who wish was coming. And mass on Sunday morning, you can hear a solemn song. Square in front of cafes and bakeries, local people and tourists crowded with half and half. It was daze watching smoke cigarettes or game behind their local church to sit here, thank you, Oh to Greece I wish that feeling to be very good.

Once church, then mosque, then again church but preserved minaret. Well done Greek buds.

Historical and unique. Reflects the history of the city of Chania. Built as a Catholic church. Then converted to a mosque. Finaly and to this day serving as Orthodox church.

As a Merchant Marine Second Officer this church is the place of all seamen who would like to pray to Saint Nicolaus to protect us from the wild side of the sea.

The priests of St. Nicholas prohibit photographing inside the temple. The hierarchy not helps tourism. Any such ban banishes tourists. Mitropolis of Chania (father George) informed. It should be noted that such bans show very low spiritual level by priests when in stark contrast the Metropolis of Athens allows photographing inside the Temple in Athens. Upon contact with the Archaeology of Chania assured me that there is no prohibition from archaeology.
