  • Big site with lots of mosaic floors. Takes a while to cover the area and some parts are a bit tricky to get to, but well worth walking around.  more »

  • Pella, Macedonia northern Greece. Birthplace and home of Alexander the Great. Just being there was awesome. Everything else is a bonus.
  • One of the most underrated archeological museums in the world. Sometimes there seem to be almost no visiters in the museum. But it's amazing. The treasures and artefacts from Makedonian times are overwhelming. Must see!
  • Great museum in an isolated town.
  • The museum in Pella is very nice. It contains wonderful exposure from when Pella was the ancient capital of the Macedonian state. It is worth a visit.
  • Brilliant museum with well informed and friendly personnel! This is a must for all visitors to the area. The little town of Pella is charming and ideal to have a coffee and a snack before carrying on with your trip.
