  • An absolute gem. We stumbled in here looking for a small bite to eat and were treated to incredible kindness and attention from the owner and staff. They brought us a fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, pies, and Greek beer. I have never before experienced such kindness and hospitality. If you are in Athens you absolutely must stop by.
  • Found this place by chance while walking around Athens. Big variety of local products, delicious tasting plates. Absolutely recommended!
  • Good produce and friendly service. Good english and know their produce. Very helpful.
  • Recommended to me by an olive oil producer, this deli made my last night in Athens! I learned so much about Greek products, and ate one of the best Greek meals of my whole stay there. So lovely!
  • Incredible selection of Greek products, including microbrews, meats, cheeses, olives, jarred goods and much more. The owners speak English exceptionally well and are very helpful and friendly. They are very proud of the products they carry and rightfully so. Not the easiest to find, but it's near the Acropolis Musum and definitely worth looking for.

Where to stay in Athens

If you come to Athens for its ancient history, stay in Plaka, a lively neighborhood located within walking distance of the city's major archaeological sites. Although relatively expensive, hotels in this part of town offer spacious rooms, private swimming pools, and rooftop cocktail bars. For less expensive but equally comfortable lodgings, consider boutique hotels and family-run inns in the quiet residential neighborhoods just a short drive south of Plaka. Good rooms fill up early in the season, so plan ahead and book in advance.
