  • The Panathenaic way was the main street of ancient Athens. It is a long wide Street (the wider Athens 110 m width), which started from the Dipylon gate on the site of the Tuileries, thereafter crossed diagonally the purchase from the Northwest to the southeast corner, with final culmination of the sacred rock of the Acropolis, where it stood around until the entrance of the Temple of Athena (Parthenon). From this passed the great procession that was addressed to the worship of the goddess during the feast of the great Panathenaic, introduced by peisistratos the 566 BC, from which the name of the street.

  • This old road would lead to the Acropolis. It is an open air museum. Should not expect to see a lot of things, but some vestiges by here and there. His interest is to tread a ground that has been very important in his time. That's a nice historical walk to calm, and with a little imagination, you can feel reliving the past.
