  • Huge columns give elegance to this building which dates from the end of the 19TH century. Everywhere is copy of the Temple of Hephaestus in the old market. Just a quick exterior tour going to visit other sites of interest, having so much to do in this city. Along with the University and the Academy forms the neoclassical trilogy of the city.

  • Together with the Accademia and the University is the neoclassical Athens. Beautiful building, with sinuous marble staircase, rich in decoration. A beautiful white building with many columns, of an elegance and charm. Too bad some of the street lamps of the steps they may have "broken glass bowl," marred the elegance of the Palace. I walked quickly inside and I caught a glimpse of the Central Hall, very nice. You can take pictures inside only in the first part of the Hall. There were so many students sitting on tables. I don't really remember, but maybe you can't enter with the backpack. Anyway let us jump, it's worth it

  • Didn't enter the library as was short of time, but the building is very impressive and more than a bit reminiscent of a Greek temple, gives you an idea what the ruins would look like new

  • We went in the morning @ 9+am and it was closed, but a male librarian staff, upon seeing us outside the door, open its doors for us. He went out of his way, gave us a quick history (it will be relocated very soon) and even showed us around the inside of the library, which is closed to the public! for this, we are very thankful. Its a very ancient but beautiful library, like a scene taken out from harry potter.
  • Α monumental building inspired from the ancient greek architecture of the town..... its collection of books is unique...
  • Unique books can be found there, even from the 14th century!
  • love athens
  • cool and lots of old books, you cant take photo's of inside and you cant walk very far/long but its worth visiting. the building is very nice and is well maintained.
