The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, usually referred to simply as the University of Athens, is a public university in Athens, Greece. It has been in continuous operation since its establishment in 1837 and is the oldest higher education institution in the modern Greek state. As if that wasn't enough, I was allowed to enter into an academic cause on the day of the visit. Exciting!show original
Monuments of Athena and Apollo with lyre on the Academy's flanking pillars are very impressive. worth to see it
It is undoubtedly impressive but if you are visiting Athens and flying around then not really a highlight unless you have plenty of time. Nice though.
