Art Museum
Admire the private collection of Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris at Goulandris Museum of Cycladic Art, housed inside a neoclassical mansion. The collection of Cycladic art (works from an ancient civilization that once existed on Aegean Islands) includes pottery, ceramics, art, sculpture, and jewelry. The one-of-a-kind galleries, once the private rooms of the Goulandris, are accessible throughout the year and a popular stop on a tour of Athens. Visit the museum's website to learn about temporary exhibits. • Within walking distance of Syntagma, Kolonaki, an elegant white marble mansion houses the largest collection of cycladic art all world. Famous marble figurines, small boats, masks. Enough for you 2 hours and 5 euro.

  • Not very popular, 4-story, not so great with permanent exhibitions of the Cyclades and Cyprus (for my the most prominent) itinerant authorized. If you like historical art, later

  • It is a valuable collection of this particular sculptural style of the Cyclades Islands. Enigmatic, stylized and with a great influence on modern art. The Museum is well mounted, is small, comfortable and has a good souvenir shop. I hesitate to go to it because it is not very popular, but it was one of the most valuable sites I found in Athens. In addition, the temporary exhibition presenting this season, seemed spectacular.

  • A great museum to visit. It has four floors. The first is dedicated to the simplicit enigmatic sculptures of the cycladic civilization, the second is about classical ancient greece, the third is about ancient cyprus, and the last a great presentation of the life of an ordinary athenian of the classical times. The museum has great artifacts and is presented in a non boring (suitable for all ages) way. Pairs nicly with the Benaki museum, the archaelogical site of Aristoteles lyceum and the byzantine museum.
  • The history of Greek and Cycladic art thrown into one museum. Shows the progression of sculpture from the simplest of forms and how they were made.
  • Beautiful museum. Nice cafe and fantastic souvenirs.
  • The best of cycladic art in a nice museum close to the Parliament. Definitely to visit, you find stuff that isn't displayed anywhere else.
  • Very nice, rich, bright and historical site. İncredible..
