  • Areopagus is one of those places which is strongly connected to modern civilization. This is the place where the elders of ancient Athens gathered. You can visit this place while walking up the Acropo...  more »
  • Thanks to a good stair to access good again today. In addition to always clean and very homely! Beautiful views from this place upward or downward. But what this place special is of course the story of the condemnation of the great philosopher Socrates, and how the Apostle Paul according to acts 17 to that fate escaped thanks to a brilliant speech.

  • It's free to visit a place close to the Acropolis. It is interesting to understand how the same on these rocks under the Sun were about pundits.

  • Make sure you bring comfortable Shoes, there is going to be allot of hiking! This place is really rich in history and a place where Apostle Paul Gave a Famous speech about Acts 17:22
  • Beautiful place for walking, take pictures, see the view of Athens and Acropolis! The time stops here!
  • This is the hill of AREOPAGUS. The Areopagus comes from the Greek name Areios Pagos, translated "Ares Rock". It is north-west of the Acropolis and In classical times, it functioned as the high Court of Appeal for criminal and civil cases. There, in front of you, extends an excellent view of the southern side of the city. You can see the buildings of the Sky Observatory, the Ancient Agora of Athens with the Temple of Hephaestus/Theseion, the Philopappos Monument on top of Mouseion Hill, the Lykabettus Hill and other well known landmarks of Athens.
  • Magical place. Amazing both by day and night. Great view of the whole city and of the surrounding hills, including of course the Acropolis.
  • Best place to see the pantheon and Athens by sunset, night. Be sure to bring a beer, the locale do!
