  • Within walking distance of Syntagma Square, spectacular building of the trilogy Ateniese.La façade flanked by two statues, Socrates and Plato, as well as being the building also houses the sculptures in Athens and Apollo placed atop two ionic columns.

  • Together the National Library and the University, the Academy of Athens is part of the neoclassical trilogy of Panepistimiou Street. Not to be missed, always amazing trip.

  • Picture is University Library is next to the truth. Is decorated very nicely with the image of Athens is poised and dignified. As part of town and tourist destination, not good. I hope by going personally better at night clean tea by Nikolai square across the street from the Metro. The station "panaspeiztimio" means University.

  • What a beauty, and a wonderful example of Neo Classical design. Go inside and look into the main meeting room. Outside columns has statues of Athena and Apollo. At the bottom of the steps are Plato on the Left and Socrates on the right. Plato built his first school on a plot of land called The Academy, which is why all higher learning schools are called The Academy all over the world.
  • Cool architecture after the fashion of the Parthenon, but all in one piece (of course).
  • Amazing neoclassical architecture. An Athens must-see.
  • Amazing building inspired by the ancient greek architecture.
  • Nice building, I have only saw the outside..
