Apollonas Beach, Apollon

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web
Take a vacation from your vacation at Apollonas Beach, a quiet stretch of pebbly shore with clear waters and some history. Once you're finished lazing in the sun and exploring the water, take a short walk to the ancient Kouros sculpture depicting Dionysus and dating back to the sixth century BCE. Though secluded, the beach is not at all far from civilization: accommodations, taverns, and gift shops are easily accessible nearby. • I'm sure in August is super crowded, but in September it is a show! We had lunch by the sea, we moved to the East than the restaurants, where there are rocks no more sand, but the sea is even better. Do not necessarily need shoes, because after entering in the water the stones thin out and you find the sands. There is a bar that offers sun beds free of charge (in September and in August I wouldn't know). The water is crystal clear, the journey of about 1, 30h from chora is worth!

  • Short beach, nice lunch stop for road trip. Close to Kouros statue. Several restaurants along the village road.
