  • The monastery is in an amazing location, just below the EC summits that rise in the southern part of Andros. Still inhabited by monks, who manages maintenance and keep it available in many places to be visited by tourists. Has a complex structure, almost a small town closed in the walls of the monastery. Offers a wide range of interesting angles, so many perspectives, a richly decorated Church and fascinating works of art.

  • Wonderful Monastery not to be missed. Elevated position with wonderful views of the Valley and the Chora of Andros, recently restored is in perfect condition and gorgeous. Articulated building that resembles a fortress with hallways and shady patios, many fresh fountains where to quench their thirst. We met 3 monks, friendly and comfortable that they offered treats in lovely sitting room. The Katholikon is wonderful and guards the precious relic of the skull of Agios Pantaleimos (also Patron Saint Panteleimon-cream). Other chapels of hermits impressive are incorporated into the monastic structure. Outside of the monastery there is a kind of wine to eat and drink. Access by car or scooter with the asphalt road until the end. Beautiful and unmissable excursion to combine with Diopatami and beach Sinetì
