Agios Prokopios Beach, Agios Prokopios

#1 of 31 in Outdoors in Naxos
Beach Nature / Park
Visit a Mediterranean beach on the Grecian coast at Agios Prokopios Beach, in an area that was once a port for Turkish traders. A bus from Chora transports you beachside where shops, restaurants, and sand give you everything a Grecian vacation is known for. One of the trader's more unfortunate vessels shipwrecked near one end of the beach. The attraction is named for Agios Prokopios Church, visible from the beach. By using our Naxos vacation planner, you can arrange your visit to Agios Prokopios Beach and other attractions in Naxos.

  • Largely equipped beach (8, €10 sunbeds and umbrella), easily accessible, has a beautiful blue sea, sloping, sandy and suitable for children. In early August but too busy to Naxos's better.

  • Sold as a 4 star hotel but it is 2 stars. Poor choice of food, the fish is a mirage, also over to trays flying flies stick to food that one must take. Animation scarce and of poor quality. Assistant SONIA Ruder, saccentina and completely absent: a girl was brought into the clinic after getting seasick by ferry and SONIA was never interested in the thing, the customer left completely abandoned to itself without directions and with the promise that SONIA l following from the clinic to the village would. Result: SONIA went missing and the girl was brought back to hotel from the ambulance driver. The beach itself is nice, but: 1. The umbrellas are too narrow and missing space between one and the other x move Beach faces on the so-called "saline", that is, two open sewers emitting nauseating odors and makes it impossible (or cmq sickening) remain on the beach of the hotel for more than 10 minutes beach is not equipped with shower (x rinse the salt after the bath). SONIA explained that this is due to the fact that it is a nature reserve and xtanto you cannot install showers. Too bad that establishments next door are perfectly equipped with showers 4. lacks even a basket x the rubbish, so either you take them home and put it into room, or walk up to another establishment x reach the bucket we were then described the trip from Mykonos to naxos as a 40-minute trip; they had flown over the previous 60 xo, in fact the trip takes 1 hour and 40 which. In addition to the 2 hours of waiting to ferry firm xe had to wait for the other flights (which is only discovered after xe nobody deigned to explain. ... All contact persons disappeared once they boarded) none to assistance on board by SONIA or animator who escorted us, although many people feel unwell due to rough seas. A bad organization swan tour, and it's really a shame xe cmq the structure of the village itself is very neat and tidy. Despite this was pointed out to SONIA all these things, we received as answer on anything more highly if they have total xe frigate. The amount we paid x the stay in this hotel has been really overwhelming compared to services offered.

  • One of the most beautiful beaches of Greece. Wonderfully clear waters, coarse sand, what a view.

Where to stay in Naxos

As with most island destinations, rooms in Naxos tend to cost more the closer you get to the sea. Beach hotels and seaside apartments come at a steep price, but they offer spacious rooms and modern amenities just minutes from the island's finest beaches. Stay in Naxos Town for quick access to the best shopping and dining options, or choose one of the island's smaller settlements if you prefer a quieter base. Village inns provide simply furnished rooms and no frills, but they also charge less than the resort hotels.
