Blue Caves, Agios Nikolaos

Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web
Experience the tranquility and piercing blue water of Blue Caves. They're only accessible by sea, so you'll have to rent a boat or join a boat tour to make the trip. From the outside, the caves appear to be small tunnels burrowing into the rock. Inside, the whole world turns blue due to the reflection of the vibrant blue mix of water and sky. Diving in the cave is a surreal experience. Underneath the water's surface, you're enveloped by darkness. Rays of light peek through the cave walls, casting small turquoise patches onto the water. • If you are planning to visit Zante next year, you have to go and see the blue caves! And make sure you pick a cruise that will allow you to swim near them
  • Blue Grotto is nothing but the niches in the rocks by water sea rinsed. Some are smaller and the other larger you can influence, so you might want to go to a small boat. After flowing under the rock arches eyes appear miracles that mother nature created over millions of years. The name Blade comes from the intensely blue water, which accentuates the solar light. Therefore, most make in the afternoon.

  • After visiting the hectic beaches with a wrecked I fixed your mood, here's a beautifully clear sea with bathing from a boat, an awesome cave, is it worth it I recommend

  • Very nice but some people say that Keri Caves are slightly better and I think the same but still, must see for all visiting Zante.
  • Absolutely beautiful colours! Just drive up there and choose your (small) boat.
  • Been to the blue caves twice now. It gets better every time. Love it, totally recommend.
  • It is not possible to get here by car only, but it is a lot cheaper to drive there as it costs only 7,5€ per trip. And a boat arrives every 10 mins to take you there. Swimming from the nearby stairs ( to the right of the caves ) should not be done by amateur swimmers as it is quite rocky with strong waves.
  • Beautiful view
