  • not only in Cologne - history to be touched! Medieval city centre, Roman and leisure centre about a travel value. With the visit to the Xanten Cathedral, the journey becomes the spiritual experience.

  • The Xanten Cathedral has altogether more disappointing, also when he is visited by so many believers and tourists. First of all, it is much smaller than expected this from the outside. The chorus in the Interior is nice, but the Tryptichae around about distributed Act rather like in the Museum that they were an integral part of the temple. The crypt acts with its modernist presentation commemorating martyrs of the NAZI period rather disconcerting to oppressive. I had promised more.

  • Although the overall artistic design was excellent, the Organization was miserable. The concert started at 19:30 in the heated dome. Starting around 20:30 the heating was turned off probably so that the jitters could begin. The temperature in the Cathedral sang off continuously. The believers and also of the Chamber before Westfalen had to freeze until the end of the concert at 21:30. The extremely commercial nature of the event was highlighted by my request Exchange 2 cards for 25 euros each in a card for 48 euros (my wife could not participate due to a cold) is strictly rejected, although there were still vacancies in this category. As to the opening of the concert the words "all may open their hearts etc" fell, was time what was meant again significantly. So all may open their wallet. Too bad, a little tolerance to the guests would have been better the Organizer.
