Für eine Gruppe von Kommunionkindern mit ihren Betreuern war die Krönung eines schönen Sonntagsausfluges nach der schönen Sonntagsmesse und Führung im Xantener Viktor-Dom der im Vorfeld angemeldete Be... more »For a group of communion kids with their caregivers, the coronation of a beautiful Sunday trip was the visit reported in the run-up to the Kriemhildmühle for the beautiful Sunday mass and leadership in Viktor Xanten Cathedral. With untiring patience and prudence led the mill declared the friendly Müller of the lively crowd of children and accompanying adults, milled grain into flour with them and baked great shaped buns, which home could take the children enthusiastically with the kids then very child-friendly and imaginative. Accompanying little siblings were wrapped lovingly with and children like adults drew the conclusion at the end, which was not only educational, but quite simply great. We, as interested parents, who were driven to Xanten to pursue the action "on the edge", sat in splendid weather before the mill where other tourists ate coffee and cake and had fun at the liveliness which reigned in the gegenüerliegenden "bakery", in the mill, and the mill around. The cake, bread, fruit and vegetables offer of the mill shop is not very cheap and very nutritious, but it is also not a "supermarket"! The Kriemhildmühle (probably far and wide is the only mill that still daily grind in the usage to the flour!) is on the back of a park limited, where children can play. Worth mentioning: The Archaeological Park, the St. Viktor Cathedral and the town centre are only a "stone's throw" from the Kriemhildmühle, also parking is very close!
Just astonishing, take a tour inside and go all the way up!
Good experience to see how to make bread literally from scratch.
Linda van RenningsHere, still real bread is baked. Small rustic health food store with organic bakery. The flour is ground even in the mill. For little money, you can climb on the mill. Very much recommended!
Sascha SpychajDelicious buns and friendly staff. Necessarily visit make the mills. Here, the flour is ground like 300 years ago.
Alex Rohenvery interesting to be able to look behind the scenes and still very tasty
