  • The fortress Marienberg is an absolute must when visiting from Würzburg. Beautiful resort with parking right outside the entrance (also from the inner city walking distance). Nice how interesting Museum with paintings and sculptures from several centuries, original rooms, armour and weapons from the middle ages and the portion on the subject of wine. Sometimes temporary art exhibition. To recommend especially in very hot or very wet weather. Good restaurant in the castle complex with spectacular views of the so-called 'Kahn' (chapel on the hillside opposite). Recommended for good weather: walk through the outdoor area with beautiful views of Würzburg with main, Altstadt, bridges and vineyards. Special tip: the Schützenhof - a gastronomic facility within walking distance with local specialities and cry; summer wines.

  • Visit to the Castle. We noticed immediately that we were out of season because there was plenty of restored, walking, were broken up and the gardens were closed. For the rest nice walk around the Castle created and enjoyed the view of Würzburg and the Kapelle.

  • The Fortress is an attraction of Wurzburg which besides historical interest provides an exceptional view of the city and the river. Recommend.
