  • The castle is nice and big you can walk a lot and the city views are very nice. I wish I could go inside but because of corona you need to schedule the tour the day before.  more »
  • Came here in September 2019 and did not realize I did not a review until looking at last Fun vacation. Wurzburg is where my parents meet in 1957. Mother told me about having picnics with my father.....  more »

  • This Castle is AMAZING it's a full castle complete with royal gardens, guard turrets, royal dining hall. The views from the fortress are amazingly beautiful! Admission is inexpensive, I am from the US and really enjoyed the tour! There is great wine drinking on the bridge in the town below 😉
  • This is a vast castle which takes some time to explore in full. It is really several castles in one, where new layers were added as time progressed. The walls of the castle feature many passages and walkways (most are not open to the public). A part of this can be seen by visiting the Maschikuli tower and associated walkway, which I recommend!
  • Amazing view from the top. It’s all worth climbing the hill. Got a lot of historical importance. It was half done during the Second World War. But Germans did what they do. They gave it a second chance and it’s in good shape. Spring is the best time to be there.
  • Nice castle on a wine hill. Great to enjoy a wine or ice cream during the sun and after a 30-40 minutes hike tour on top of the hill. Must see in Würzburg!
  • Wow. My partner and I loved this. Walking up from the city to look back over it from another stunning perspective was the best way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
