  • Only with audio guide you not much missed, if you visited it. This admission is relatively cheap, therefore 4 star. Photography is prohibited, we visited some of the restored historical rooms. The comments of the audioguides glorify something, sometimes lengthy time. Critical debate and reflection have missed, as it is in many other exhibitions of this kind of abuse. The special exhibition is positive, depending on the topic.

  • Originated from a castle of the 13th century, has a Baroque half-timbered facade before turned the old Castle in the 18th century, which makes it one of the most beautiful castles in Northern Germany until today. It is home to the Baroque State and private apartments of the Dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg, they form the heart of the Castle Museum. The ceremonial Chambers testifies to the courtly life of the early 18th century. Individual tour or guide and audio guide are possible. There are also temporary exhibitions and educational activities.
