  • A must see in the region. Historically and culturally important in the "Ruhr" area, this remaining coal mine has to be visited once (and the surrounding attractions).
  • There's much to see u.a.das LWL industrial Museum on the site of the old Colliery... frequent events for young and old... There is a visitor's Gallery and a great powerhouse. With Gastronomie...wie the coffee garden. Also of super for events... ..

  • Since there are only a few parking spaces right in front of the door of the Museum, we just chose the much larger parking lot at the Nightingale road, also the Muttentalbahn, which runs on some Sundays so that people who are no longer so good walking, can reach the Bill starts from here. Bahnfreien days you should allow at least 15 minutes walk. In the Museum we, were welcomed warmly like all other fiber optic museums. A compliment to the always remarkable philosophy and flawless Implementation of obviously pleasant working climate in the fiber optic museums and very friendly and attentive to dealing with visitors. At the box office was us equal to a guided tour for the visitor mine offers an interesting issue with security, but unfortunately only conditionally recommended for back victim since one often hunched over must move, so we had to reject, but we were also so at our expense. Because in addition to the mining history you can see also the history of the former brick making, the presentation is very. Before the entrance of the Museum can be found even a small café which can be visited without to pay admission. According to Billboard here including homemade cakes and snacks are offered because we don't came up here, we can't say anything to the quality, the location was very well attended. Who wants to learn more about the former mining after visiting the Museum, then still criss -cross through the Muttental out and discover some interesting things, so that you can spend here several hours.

  • A very interesting slice of history. The tour and museum give some interesting insights into the working conditions experienced by the miners and brick makers that worked there.
  • Nice Museum. All like my children. It is explained well and clearly. In the rear part there is a small water playground. At the entrance there is a small restaurant with tasty food (quiche and so...)

  • Like as "Ur-mine", even a gallery visit is possible. A detour to the colliery Nightingale on trips through the Ruhr Valley cycle path is duty.

  • Highly interesting. Located on the Ruhr Valley cycle route, invites the colliery to a journey into the past. There are picnic tables at the colliery site.
