  • Here begins the the Ruhr River. Really exciting isn't it, mar as a target for a walk certainly succeeded. There is a good parking lot, so you can also go trekking from here.

  • Great ski hut right on a nice beginners ' slope. Our oldest son has learning on this piste skiing. There is also an elevator where you with the sled on can. The ski hut is beautifully nicely finished with FIR. Friendly service and pretty good food for a normal price. Ski hire and ski lessons are on the spot.

  • Who are holidaying in the area, should take quiet time hiking to the source of the Ruhr. There is a small parking lot nearby. And then can comfortably be migrated to the source. That here the Ruhr has its origins and with this name a long regarding their own economically significant and Germany in context is creating this way almost everyone. incredibly.

  • Very much recommended, winter wonderland... in winter Super can walk and you're in about 20 minutes on the Ruhr sources hut, where if it's not very full can eat tasty.

  • As native Westphalian and direct Ruhr bordering somehow a "Must" to visit. It is not really spectacular but... What has annoyed me: the river has given the name of an entire region is grown up with coal and steel. And for the first time how is the river? From a plastic pipe crumbled... :-/ Hey Thyssen-Krupp, can you not there dengeln what chic in stainless steel?
