To explore the three boats and the submarine makes a lot of fun and very interesting. The Museum is easy to reach. Parking nearby is sufficiently available. Word of advice: Buy the Combi - ticket, it includes the Museum, as well as the harbour cruise on the "Harle courier", it is worth!show original
Thomas WeinrichPrice is ok and if all signs to the hold where the tour this way would be nice, too. It looks a lot and can commit almost everything we were pleasantly surprised. It was pleasant very much even our small (3)show original
Sassan SThe Museum gives a good first overview about the history of the German Navy and some interesting exhibits. Tip for visitors: the cruise of the Museum is highly recommended because you supplied during the ride with ample information on the history of the marine port and Wilhelmshaven. In contrast to other providers of Harbour Cruises ("here a frigate, as a provider") a competent guide on board which ausführlichst itself is informed on the Museum barge. Tips for the Museum operators:-both the Weilheim and the molders significant parts are not accessible, E.g. the machinery spaces. Especially in historically interesting plants such as on the molders, this would however desirable. -It would be nice if there were regular guided tours through the outdoor area and the ships. A competent guide can convey much more than a few signs.show original

Walter EngelThe Museum was an only one disappointment for me. Positive only the outside area with the possibility of z.Bsp to visit the Destroyer "Mölders". It was true that only the rooms were open due to the smoothness, but: it was freezing cold in the Interior of the vessel. You can heat at least the bridge? Why was the entire machine range blocked? -In the House, four smaller rooms were open, the "special exhibition" will be opened in the spring. Here the main points of criticism:-many important units of the Navy (here World War II) were definitely not mentioned. Incredible failure to subs! But also U - boot Jäger, outpost ships, it has not been apparently at all Räumboote, minesweepers, and so on. After all, flotilla, in W'haven were found! -Big names, such as "Günther Prien", and other commanders, which destiny were closely associated with the city of. Forget. -No historical or technical details of the battleships, the battlecruisers and the cruisers. At best a model, nothing else. As well as any salvaged objects; up on an old, completely uninteresting cannon. Then a Bell of the "Admiral Scheer". After all. -Next: nil to the historical development of the port. No chronology, not impressive photos, virtually no painting, no historical drawings. Nothing. How did the port in the course of time? Where were the berths of big vessels? No explanation for the large naval battles, to the fates of the "Dick boats" as "Scharnhorst" etc - no team lists, no journals, no single history, a few a few personal items of unknown marine soldiers. Old and therefore almost illegible letters are displayed. For the visitors, no interest, because the translation in a legible font is missing. -Conclusion: there is no special relationship of the Museum to Wilhelmshaven. Everything that is "maritime", was compiled almost listless. Truly unique, impressive and valuable museum items belong to a good Museum.show original
