Tier- und Pflanzenpark Fasanerie, Wiesbaden

(4.7/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Nestled in a lushly forested area, Tier- und Pflanzenpark Fasanerie is noted for allowing animals to roam freely inside huge, natural enclosures. Instead of utilizing a typical zoo setting, this animal park uses minimal caging and fences, offering visitors a chance to explore a world of wild animals living in habitats very similar to their native environments. The park spreads over a varied landscape of hills, meadows, rivers, and lakes, covering a total area of more than 10 hectares (25 acres). Stop by to spend a day among at least 50 different species of animals, including bears, wolves, deer, sheep, pigs, pheasants, barn owls, storks, wild cats, wild boars, and goats. The site also includes a petting zoo for children. Our Wiesbaden trip itinerary planner makes visiting Tier- und Pflanzenpark Fasanerie and other Wiesbaden attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • The Pheasantry is laid out very nicely. You can see native species. The grounds are spacious and pleasant to walk. We would like to emphasize that no entrance fee will be charged. The donations, we hope are sufficient to maintain the Pheasantry anyway.

  • The Pheasantry in Wiesbaden is beautifully constructed and some domestic animals has to offer. Very suitable for a family outing!

  • I'm actually not a fan of zoos, but still like to be, I visited this zoo, because it is almost exclusively native animals to see who all have relatively much space. The Park is beautifully landscaped and the visit we liked even in winter, although many animals have stopped hibernating. For families, this is a great trip possibility that not even entrance fee. We will like to come back!
