  • The early reflection of female emancipation with sufficient financial means is worth a visit even if it was a pleasant 250 years ago, to be a non-noble man, a noble woman. Anna Amalia achieved their position through intelligence and assertiveness.

  • On the recommendation of the Weimar coffee Roastery, we visited the central but somewhat hidden this Palace, which gives a very good insight into the life of the upper class. It is relatively fast and pleasant to visit easily (in the sense of not too much history). The audio guide (included in the entry price of €6) offers the opportunity to find out more, or to move a room in several places. The entrance is located behind the building in the inner courtyard.

  • Baroque city Palace. Busts, oil paintings and drawings show the members of the ducal family, as well as portraits of Goethe, Schiller, Herder, and Wieland. I was particularly interested in the green room, the living room of the Duchess Anna Amalia.

  • Definitely worth a visit. The interior design of the palace is beautiful and it has been well looked after over the years.
  • Small but fine, very nice guide
