  • If you like a mix of ghost and Ma'am Tusseaud with musical and linguistic background, is right here; very funny made the serious history buffs breaks down but, with EUR 7-expensive and not to recommend as add on in the framework of the Weimar card quite nice, I was there on Sunday at about 17:30 and it was pretty empty

  • The museums is in the Schiller Street, the shopping mile of Weimar, and therefore very central. The entrance is marked by a large Plastikgoethe, otherwise he would not be found probably... The price of admission (€20.90 for 2 adults, 2 children) is fine, if you think about what is behind it for a major expense. Very pleasant, we found that we were left with a school class, which arrived at the same time with us in the Museum. At the beginning, the atmosphere is still pretty scary, so nothing for the faint-hearted. The information conveyed in vivid way, with special effects and wax figures. It is positive, told the details of speakers, so do not themselves read. Partly, I had the impression that the facts/events were on one side mediated (E.g. Luther and the Reformation). In places, it has heard the sound from the next room, what has clouded the attention and affect the atmosphere. The tour lasts not too long (30 min), therefore a visit to the museums is ideally suited as a preparation on a tour of the city. The museums also has the largest range of souvenir of the city, at lower prices than, for example, the tourist information. A highlight of any visit to Weimar!

  • We did this Weimar experience at the end of the 48 hours of the Weimar Card. As such, it appeared as a short introductory talk of the long history. It's fairly enjoyable, gives an impression, but litt...  more »

  • Great food and atmosphere will take you far away from Bucharest to hot Mexico
  • cute place to visit
  • Touristenfalle / Tourist Trap !!! Be aware of this tourist trap as shop and "museum" – which doesn't deserve this name at all!!!!
  • Some German history in there (1918-1933).
  • Very nicely done, but we had us some more expected. Tour goes pretty quickly and is missing many things from the extensive history of Weimar. Designed quite anecdotal. As part of the Weimar card, it is nice to look at, pay separately for it I would but not necessarily.
