  • Goethe's Garden House is located in the Park on the ILM and is after about 5 minutes walk from the entrance to the Anna-Amalia Library to reach out. Beautiful landscaped gardens and paths before and behind the House invite to rest. The entrance fee (€ 6.50 for adults) is a bit high, since inside only 5 or 6 rooms are to visit. There are some interesting exhibits (E.g. the print template of "Erlkönig"), unfortunately, there is no signage, here you would have to rely on the audio guide. It feels pretty monitored because a guard all the time through the 3 rooms on the floor "patrol". Otherwise recommended, not so crowded like other museums in Weimar.

  • A small two-storey house on the banks of the river Ilm. Until 1782, Goethe lived here, then came here for work and leisure. I.e. cottage. Later, Goethe's future wife lived here. In the garden there is the luck stone. Interesting Park near the House of Goethe

  • beautiful and historical, if you are in weimar I totally recommend to visit this, the nature around the house is also very beautiful
  • Can evaluate only from the outside, because I found something covered the price of €6.50. What outside is already beautiful, of course nature, lots of flowers and a fantastic location. The stairs to the right of the House invites to the stay, romantic chic. Wen, the price not scare should look at the Interior.

  • The situation is already appealing, the entrance fee of €6 per person for 5 almost empty rooms, however, is a nerve. Look at from the outside Yes, you can save yourself confidently go.

  • A very beautiful House. Pretty crowded course in high season and in good weather. I sit down like in front of the House on the lawn or on the top of the slope on a bench and I imagine that Goethe is right around the corner and joins for a conversation. A very nice place.
