The bird is very nicely constructed and giant size. It's done a great job and gave it all at really fair prices and the Hesse card €5 discount. We have a picnic we brought drinks and food made there are so many great places to enjoy it.
Erst kürzlich war ich im Internet auf der Suche nach einer schönen Freizeitbeschäftigung für den Feiertag und bin schließlich auf die Vogelburg gestoßen. Vorher wusste ich gar nicht, dass es so etwas ... more »Recently, I was on the Internet looking for a nice pastime for the holiday and am finally encountered the bird Castle. I don't knew beforehand that there is such a thing. And since my husband and I love the feathered friends, which of course was a must for us. Therefore enthusiastically, we have made us on the way and were not disappointed. Bird Castle is somewhat difficult - clear, because it is located so high, you have to drive in the slalom for a while, but if it is only there, that is quickly forgotten. The admission price of 7 euros for an adult is more than just human. To become a Club Member - what you can - apply for on the home page you have even free of charge. The bird itself is beautiful and you can spend it loosely five hours there, without, it gets boring. We have really amazed how fast the two afternoons we now there were gone. In the blink of an eye, five hours were passé. There are so many different birds and you can interact very well and much with them. And especially "undisturbed". Really a great experience! There are including cockatoos (whether now Maluku, yellow, pink, white hoods... There are almost all species) there are various parrots (Mohrenkopf parrots, blue fronted Amazons, macaws, African grey parrots, eclectus parrots, Loris u.v.m.) Cockatiels and and and... So something is really for everyone! For just 50 cents can be food for the birds from vending machines at almost every corner. And sunflower seeds, which are also very happy to eat all birds. You should forgo even packed food anyway. On the site of the castle of the bird is threatened even with restraining order if it violates, which I find ok as a measure. After all, it has a reason why you should feed only the Chuck from the machine. Not all birds tolerate everything. In and of itself, the cages are also very nice. (especially the many free flight enclosure, above all that of Loris, but this is a matter of taste) The only thing doesn't want I like the bird Castle, is the fact that the birds have no toys in their Aviary. Some of the cages are too small, what I find a bit sad I believe. But really the worst thing is that the birds have no employment opportunities. So, the person on one side is interesting, what might quite enjoy the one or other visitors, but for the birds, it makes me sad. I would that they would get at least a little something to toy offered. Because finally is advertised on the homepage so how much value is placed on the welfare of the birds. And until now each Advisor, I have read about birds, stood in there, that they need even toys and employment opportunities. Would the Park change that, it would be really perfect! I would pay then also like more entry for this! It would be worth to me in any case. The restaurant/Café in the bird Castle is also very quaint! There's especially very tasty cake, various salads, dumplings, sausages and spit roast. The prices are good. 2.50 for a special on the first sight although something 'expensive' seem, but where one pays nowadays less? Also... If the benefit of the animals, then the price of course absolutely alright! Outside the restaurant, but also everywhere in small niches of the Park, you can sit wonderfully and enjoy his meal in peace and quiet. It was truly idyllic. Especially when the weather is nice! There are toilets in the bird Castle. Once in the restaurant and once located in the Park. There is also a bird show one extra can look at for 2 euros, but we have not seen on us. For one, because I think it's not necessarily good, on the other hand you had to do that this time there was so much with the birds. There is also a souvenir shop. There you can buy for example images of parrots, or springs. There is also stuffed animals and other "stuff". The staff were all very friendly and obliging. Although anywhere, where it is necessary, warning signs are placed, that some of the birds just yet "to bite", happened to us a little "accident". (Not worth talking about) The staff have just provided us with disinfectant spray and a patch. You should so definitely on the signs "listen" and then not necessarily put the fingers in the cage. There are plenty of other cages, or even enclosures in which oneself into it can chapter, where you can do it safely. (Although also at the free flight enclosures, you may enter each time the note attached, that is entering only at your own risk.) Bottom line: We would visit again the bird Castle and will occur on occasion in the bird Castle Club. Only one criticism: Please provide more employment opportunities for birds! Otherwise top! Parking directly in front of the bird Castle is also free and there are also a lot of pitches! Even on holiday, we had to get a place.
Die nachgebaute Art "Burganlage" erinnert an ähnliche Urlaubserlebnisse. Es ist aber nett gemacht und vor allem vogelgerecht, auch in Hinblick als Auffangstation. Es gibt Freiflugvolieren, die man bet... more »The reconstructed way "Castle" is reminiscent of similar holidays. It is but Nice made and especially on birds in terms as a reception station. There's free flight aviary, you can enter and a bird flight show. And here the good will is one. Interesting for a family trip with kids or for bird watching. The not so savvy can enjoy the splendid colors of various kinds. And in its function as a collecting station can be quiet a donation. The restaurant is integrated, appropriate and homely furnished and has a large outdoor area. The spit roast from the Pan Grill was, as well as the Meatball of our friend, unfortunately very, very dark and dry. Serves glazed onion rings was very Woody and very salty to do so on a smoke salt sauce. No sauce and fried onion rings would be better. The salad was on to a small plate and could therefore only poorly mixed in the dressing. Applies to restaurant: looking out at the counter, order, pay for pick up. But the cake has torn it again in the afternoon. Very delicious and homemade. Without the somewhat problematic lunch it would have for a well made.
It's interesting to see many different carrots, but at the same time all the same. Amazing place to visit with kids.
Great private Bird Park, idyllically situated in the Hochtaunuskreis. Over 30 years and is continuously expanded with much attention to detail. A destination with an acceptable admission prices. For children, there is a long tunnel slide. Ideal for a short stay of two to three hours.
It's really an experience if the birds gently take the sunflower seeds out of hand. I could really spend hours to do this. It has at some point enough, getting also good food or coffee and cake at very fair prices.
Great location. There a lot of work. Many impressive details. The admission price is justified, taking into account that it is a kind of reception station for the birds. Very impressive, I found the use of various building materials and old items.
