Warnemunde Beach, Warnemunde

(4.4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Warnemunde Beach spans 2 km (1.9 mi) and is the broadest sandy beach on the German Baltic Sea. Relax on the soft sand or go for a swim, but be aware that the water can get extremely cold. You can try out kite-surfing or windsurfing, both popular activities here. Walk to the lighthouse, where you can pay a small fee to climb to the top and enjoy views of the town. Stop by any of the several beach bars to grab drink and people-watch. Try the grapefruit juice mixed with beer for a refreshing treat. • Warnemünde offers a break by the sea in every season. The beautiful beach, the boats on the old River, fish sandwiches from a boat or other goodies in the numerous restaurants and Cafés. In summer the place full of people is, in the winter it's more comfortable. Also for shopping, it is worth to go to the end of the season on bargain-hunting. Many small boutiques invite you to extensive browsing.

  • The Rostock district Warnemünde convinced every season charm. From the long beach walk, shopping and sight-seeing tours up to interesting Harbour Cruises is all feasible and always interesting.

  • Have not bathed, but to see the beach and the water was enough, even if the calendar said January. Can easily imagine how nice that is during the summer.
