Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Warnemunde Beach spans 2 km (1.9 mi) and is the broadest sandy beach on the German Baltic Sea. Relax on the soft sand or go for a swim, but be aware that the water can get extremely cold. You can try out kite-surfing or windsurfing, both popular activities here. Walk to the lighthouse, where you can pay a small fee to climb to the top and enjoy views of the town. Stop by any of the several beach bars to grab drink and people-watch. Try the grapefruit juice mixed with beer for a refreshing treat.
