Mueritzeum Aquarium, Waren

(110+ reviews on the web)
Natural History Museum
Recreating every type of natural setting, including the sea, Mueritzeum Aquarium is a nature-lover's sanctuary. Each exhibit is labeled with a poetic name, such as "House of the 1,000 Lakes," where fish race alongside each other in the clear water. You can view their antics through the aquarium walls. You'll also find songbirds and woodland animals living in lush displays. The museum doubles as a research facility, and education about its inhabitants is one of its missions. • Very nice, interactive Museum of the Müritz National Park. Focus is on native fishes, which are in large aquariums to see and admire. Forest and bird world have also large room - especially the "concert hall" I liked, here you can put together listening to the different birds individually or to characteristic choirs and see. Nice for children is also the pool where you can remote control sail boats. To recommend in sunny weather (rooftop, outdoor area) as well as in rainy weather. Thanks to lift the Müritzeum wheelchair or stroller is easy to visit. There is also a baby-changing area. Unfortunately, the Café was renovated just.

  • Here there are for children to see and experience much. At the moment the café / restaurant is closed unfortunately, because here is built to. The aquariums in the basement that is worth watching and perhaps also the view from the roof of the building are for adults.

  • We were here out of season and therefore with little public transport. The café / restaurant does not exist at the time here is being reconstructed. The whole exhibition is geared for kids press buttons, screens viewed, etc, personally not that I liked. The aquarium in the basement make some good but yet only three stars for "ok".

  • As of today 12 euro... For non-working things (only one of 4 can be controlled yet) the pools are dirty and full of snails. The fish are too great for the pool and look partly sick. Long, it will no longer make the part.
