  • Outside you'll get impressive architecture. Inside there's a great exhibition on the monks who build this and hundreds of other buildings. The whole thing is in German but with lot of pictures, examples and funny cartoons for the kids along the way.
  • Love coming here even though I have visited probably a dozen times already over the decades
  • The Museum is really interesting and very modernly furnished. The appearance was much better than we expected it. Locally, there is a cafe where you can buy memory.

  • Not only the Cistercian Monastery and the remaining buildings are interesting. The gypsum hills (Kingdom of heaven) are also worth a visit. A really impressive trail runs around and over with a lovely view on the Lake. Caution it goes steeply up! Only suitable for people with knee and hip problems.

  • Formerly one of the largest monasteries in Europe. Today some ruins remain, but these are still impressive. The exhibition is very modern, impressive and very informative. A special highlight is the annual market of monastery in September, which doubled the experience.
