Schlosspark Dennenlohe Reviews
Dies soll keine von den ewigen Nörgel-Bewertungen werden aber wenn man bereits andere Schlossparks und Gartenanlagen gesehen hat, ist der Besuch dieser Anlage nur enttäuschend. Die Bezeichnung Schloss... more »This should be none of the eternal nagging reviews but if you saw already other Castle Park and gardens, this plant is just disappointing. The name Castle Park alone is already ehr misleading. Today we visited the "garden of nature" with great anticipation and the very promising-sounding website. The garden as well as the entire castle complex came already very aged, appeared unkempt and entitlement to maintenance, maintenance or renewal of the garden, as well as feral or rotten bridges and seating, is missing here. The hanging in the entrance sign "Enter at your own risk" actually makes sense. Apparently the Park should be once extended or enlarged, so it runs partly through reclaimed mound of dirt that now fully to have burgeoned with weeds and wild approach. Also the many small islands are to perceive unfortunately hardly as islands, because they are very overgrown. The plan issued at the entrance is not faithfully and with a few signs you'd can orient yourself maybe a little better, where you actually just runs out. The approach of the garden was what you get to see well but unfortunately less and then for a scruffy garden of nature to require admission €10... Who is not self verse OGRE and relies on local gastronomy can unfortunately also expect there not much... The "Orangerie" (if you can call it so) has closed during the week, in the garden itself there's nothing and the stables 'Guest House' is a self-service restaurant.
Prärie und Dschungel drückt besser aus, was einen erwartet. 'Schlosspark' nur soweit, dass es sich um ein mehr oder wenig gestaltetes Gelände handelt. Auf mich wirkte es sehr mystisch und befremdlich.... more »Plains and jungle expresses better what to expect one. 'Castle Park' only to the extent, that it is a more or little designed site. It seemed to me very mystical and strange. The Platnersberg is a walk-in stone Hill with many fragrant roses. Only stones and roses, very strange. Much is Asian religiously inspired. Whether it is valuable garden design, every man for himself must decide. I find too much admission €10.
Der Schlosspark ist einfach ein Traum. Hinter jeder Ecke wartet eine neue Überraschung oder eine schöne Bank zum Verweilen. Auch für Kinder wird es nicht langweilig. Solche Parks kennt man sonst eher ... more »The Castle Park is simply a dream. A new surprise or a nice Bank to linger waiting around every corner. For children, it is not boring. Seen such parks rather only in GB
The Schlosspark is a stunningly beautiful garden, especially when the rhododendren are in bloom. One part of the park is inspired by the Japanese style, while the other part - which is still being extended and worked on - features a moor and has been left to nature. You can easily spend 3 hours in this park if you explore all the hidden paths and maybe have a seat on one of the many benches, to enjoy the views. It's one of my favourite places to visit! Don't forget your camera. ;)
On Easter weekend, the opportunity to take a trip to Dennenlohe Castle surrendered after years once again. My wife and I have enjoyed the long walk through the Park and the landscaped places to linger. At the end, we had still a snack in the stables. The quality of food and ambiance are very good - the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable and fair. Baron sweet child has obviously not just a "green thumb", but also an eye for classic cars. We have decided another visit to an event, as well as taking part in a guided tour for this summer.
I was initially skeptical, because actually "old stuff" rather interests me, because I'm simply not related to. Input old equipment are etc. issued at random technique such as typewriters, radios, old toys what interested me less. But in a further building the old vehicles are available, and there are real treasures: A beautiful BMW Isetta, Opel Manta, Ford Taunus, vehicles of the former East Germany, a DeLorean (!) and many more. The Nice is also the atmosphere: there is nothing sterile and closed off, and the vehicles are not perfect. Of course you should not touch also here. The entrance fee is only 3 euro for adults and they're well worth it.
I was now on a Thursday morning in Dennenlohe. The website is very promising. Once there, I experienced a bitter disappointment. The Castle has been very in the years and the Park made a very unangepflegten impression. This is the rhododendron flower temporarily, it was clear to me. But that little else has flourished, found I pity. There were more weeds. Spending €10 has annoyed me really.
Hardly impressive flowers. Many stalls. You will feel like on the fair. With stroller a Totur. All fine split and stairs.
