  • In the middle of the city a resting point that actually kind of a synagogue reminds an old Goteshaus and whom the architecture very Arabic works.

  • St.Paulus is located between main market, Steipe and St.Irminen / direction of Moselle. We find here probably unfortunately rather rare visitors. The arches in the Interior reminded me much of the "Mequita" of Cordoba. I recommend visiting the Church as a place of silence and reflection.

  • The Church of St. Paulus in Trier is somewhat unjustly treated wrongly by tourists, probably because yet very young looks in the over 2000 years old city of Trier. Actually, it is in its current form a 1905-1907 built stately Romanesque transept Basilica with cityscape known corner tower, which belongs to the historicist / Art Nouveau and according to the plans of Wilhelm-Peter Schmitz (Cathedral architect), was built in Trier and Julius Wirtz (architect). Geographic coordinates (WGS 1984) in decimal degrees: lon: 6.635181 lat: 49.758118 actually was at this point already in the Roman trier (Augusta Treverorum) a sanctuary or after the Christianization of a chapel.
