  • Of the Toy Museum: it's a curiosity to see. Several epochs are represented. A pleasure to find toys of yesteryear. What memories

  • The exhibition features toys from about 100 years ago and of course childhood memories are awake. For the children, it was also very interesting to see how the toys over the years has changed. Liked us very well and we are going again.

  • The museum is next to the Red House with a private entrance. You have to be one with a long flight of stairs up because the museum on the 1st and 2nd floor of the Red House and the Steipe. There was also someone with a wheelchair at the top. Who was with the elevator, but then you have to go to the input that is in the courtyard of Jacobstr. 4. (next Street at Mc Donald). It's not very big but a nice museum with different kinds of toys. Just past the desk you see really nice village with all sorts of moving animals. An amazing sight. Furthermore, Tin toys, bears, beautiful antique dolls, model cars, lego, model spoorbanen, model trains and whatnot more. It is not only fun for kids but I am still more than an hour as an adult sweet.

  • It is a lovely and large collection of toys. Unfortunately it is clear that there has been no renovations in ages and the displays are very old fashioned. Rund down and sometimes dirty. Everything is behind glass, no extra information provided. Very boring for children, it is not interactive or engaging at all. Reception is rude. It would be great it they were able to spend some money on it and make the whole thing more modern, open, interesting for children. As it is I would only recommend it if you are very into old toys (it does have an amazing collection ) and come without children - they would be disappointed.
  • Lots of toys which were played long time ago and interesting feeling when you think about the time they were played... Interactive toys would be awesome as well if they had more than 1. That was my expectation actually but we ended up watching them behind the glasses...
  • Very nice place.

Where to stay in Trier

Trier offers a small selection of places to stay within the city. A youth hostel and a camper parking equipped with showers and toilet but no power caters to the budget travelers visiting the city. For more comfort, look for hotels in the Olewig area or Porta Nigra. Several four-star hotels provide even more luxury at relatively affortable price.
