  • We are big fans of Roman ruins and the empire’s impact. We are impressed by the museum’s large amount of mosaics and funerary art. The model of Roman Trier, a city of 80,000, is very impressive...

  • Loads of Celtic and Roman artifacts. I would say it is only second to the treasure trove in the Naples, Italy Archaeological Museum. There are Celtic items on display that were found in burial pots...

  • ?Absolutely worth your while and money. Bring enough energy and eat and drink properly: it is definitely a big museum. The quality of the Roman art and statues is worthy of the same quality as Louvre and Prado in respectively France and Spain. Great job trier. One big minus ➖: 🇩🇪German government where are the English translations??! So far for a European union
  • Its a huge museum and would take an entire day to see it all. If you don't have that much time, there are 3 things not to miss 1. Frescoes on the walls of Roman houses - Few of the retrieved wall frescoes have been expanded to give an idea of how the whole wall would have looked like. 2. Roman sculptures & architecture - Most of Roman Sculptures that were excavated here, are here in display. 3. Roman Mosaics - This museum has the largest collection of Roman Mosaics in the north of Alps!
  • Very nice museum with offcourse a lot of roman history but also about the keltic history. Good audio tour availeble.
  • Absolutely fabulous ancient Roman mosaic floors 🤩
  • Great museum, tons of artifacts. Wish there was more in English, or I understood more German!
