  • The electoral Palace is hidden but it's very nice and impressive. It also has a great garden. Should you be on the city tour!

  • The electoral or archiepiscopal Palace (Kurfürstliches) is a Rococo building. The South Wing, which today can be seen from the garden of the Palace, ordered it to build the Archbishop Johann Philipp von Walderdorff sculptor and painter German Johannes Seiz around the year 1756 is especially beautiful. The sculptures were made by the sculptor Ferdinand Tietz I really liked the Rococo staircase in the South Wing, also created by artists Tietz and Seiz... The Palace is really nice and leave some precious photos. Unfortunately you can not visit inside but although only you can see out and stroll the gardens worth approaching and photographing it. 100% recommended.

  • A beautiful Palace, Baroque, full of details and extremely careful. Spend a few minutes and explore its gardens is worth. A simple, but full of beauty tour.

  • This was an elaborate Rococo beauty situated close to the heart of the historic town center and adorned with spacious Palace Gardens. During my visit it was unfortunately not opened for visit - I realized only quite late that it was still used presently as a district administration office and not opened regularly for public visit. It was a pity because a beautiful Rococo staircase adorned the palace's interior and it would be great to see it up close.
  • Its really pretty, with the whole gardeb and stuff. If you go there during summer, the beautiful flowers makes the palace mlre beautiful.
  • Amazing place to rest and to take a big and deep pause from the modern life.
  • It has a nice park for a picknick but the palace itself isn't that impressive. Just buy some snacks and drinks and enjoy the park.
  • It is an OK palace, with the exception of the nicely decorated balconies.

Where to stay in Trier

Trier offers a small selection of places to stay within the city. A youth hostel and a camper parking equipped with showers and toilet but no power caters to the budget travelers visiting the city. For more comfort, look for hotels in the Olewig area or Porta Nigra. Several four-star hotels provide even more luxury at relatively affortable price.
