  • When you visit the Roman baths (Barbarathermen), you are struck by many different emotions. The first is the grand scale of the bath complex, showing the massive scale of the undertaking. And then the...  more »
  • Barbara baths are the largest Roman baths North of the Alps. It was built around the 2nd century AD by the Romans. Today revealed the excavations take still instead. A visitor walkway leading across the archaeological field, the facility can be visited free of charge. Useful information and illustrative graphics across the area of Barbara baths are given on nine information boards. The area of Barbara baths is still in the excavation and not so beautifully restored as the better-known Imperial baths, but absolutely worth seeing.
