  • Enjoyed having a look around but there wasn't much information to find out more which would have been nice.  more »
  • The amphitheater looks different than you initially expect. No stones stands, but grass along the sides. Particular the route under the forum, entrance through the forum itself.

  • The remnants of this Roman Amphitheater are about two thousand years old. The upper levels in the middle of the nature are splendid to watch. You can also discover the catacombs which are gloomy and humid. Sometimes there are concerts, markets and theater plays on this site that have a very unique atmosphere.
  • it's nice to give this a visit. not to long but still you have to do this in trier.
  • At 4 Euros an adult we expected more. Still an interesting stop if you have time.
  • There is not too much to see, but the things that you can see are worth the visit. Underneath the arena there is a large basement wich is incredible.
  • Simply breathtaking. Takes you back in time. Sadly some things aren't to be seen anymore

Where to stay in Trier

Trier offers a small selection of places to stay within the city. A youth hostel and a camper parking equipped with showers and toilet but no power caters to the budget travelers visiting the city. For more comfort, look for hotels in the Olewig area or Porta Nigra. Several four-star hotels provide even more luxury at relatively affortable price.
