A Roman amphitheater built in Rome's German province, Amphitheater is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes St. Peter's Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady in Trier. The amphitheater's center ring with stone walls is completely excavated. Pay small entrance fee to you can walk into the center and play the part of a gladiator. The seating is still covered with earth and grass, so consider bringing a picnic lunch to enjoy just outside of the ring. Check out the space beneath the ring, which once held the animals and people who took part in the entertainment. A must-go for tourists. Its quite large. Worth a visit even without a tour guide, as there's information available on-site.
Yet one more attraction I couldn't go to. It closed at 1600
Excellent experience, well maintained low cost easily accessible.
Marc WinterInteresting place. Unfortunately, I had a chance to look at the offered show. You can move relatively freely on the whole area and look at everything. The tour gives a good insight.show original
