  • A very interesting collection in an unusual location (6th floor furniture store). But, we found that exactly this unusual environment makes more interesting in this unusual collection. This museum contains a collection of products from all life situations of the GDR time. Also the boards with many explanations of the history are very good and helpful. We felt transported back to our childhood. Thank you very much for this experience!

  • 26 is the turning point now, because you would be glad to see the old familiar objects of the GDR daily life and to discover. The exhibition is a little peek behind the doors of normal citizens and gives some reason to smile and a surprised "Oh yes!". Therefore our recommendation: Who close is and put themselves back once let want MUST necessarily times here! The entrance fee of €5 is worth the experience. We have spent interesting 3Std. there. You can take a small snack (DDR typical) of course there. The person in charge a high praise and thanks. Keep it and designed the themes according to the individual rooms! Many greetings from Karl-Marx-Stadt

  • Who is there in close times should look absolutely. A visit will be rewarded with good humor. For visitors from West of the Elbe are I recommend an interpreter which is East of the Elbe. It is very entertaining. The exhibition did not like who he has lost anything here. Thanks to the team who all have built up.

  • Not quite my case, this is my personal opinion. Authentic rooms from earlier, how one has lived. A little old technique and odds and ends. For an overview the photos on Google maps look at :-)
