  • Is in southern Germany or even in the German part of Switzerland. It's worth stretching to Stuttgart and meet the only zoo with Botanical Garden included, in Europe; Maybe in the world. In addition there are several playgrounds for children and several areas to sit and relax and eat! Showww!

  • Thought it was one of the most beautiful zoo's I've visited. Great botanical gardens. I would bring family here.
  • Very large zoo with many animals, we were very impressed with the size of the zoo and the variety of animals. The settings were beautiful with great botanical plantings to accent each area. Interesting architecture as well. The seal show at 11:00 was very entertaining. They have cafes throughout, a gift shop filled with stuffed animals and toys, and restroom facilities. The greenhouses also held a wide variety of interesting plants. We particularly liked the Moss Fern greenhouse. Highly recommend for all ages!
  • If you are in Stuttgart and can spare a full day then Wilhelma is certainly the place to be. Best part about Wilhelma is the habitat and the vibe inside the zoo. The animals are really very well kept and as a visitor you would feel very close to them. For us the best ones were the Polar bear, sea lions, Bactrian Camel and the tropical gardens in the green houses. Highly recommended.
  • Nice park, but the enclosures for the animals are far too small. This needs to be updated to be 21st century standard for the animals.
  • Do not underestimate the walking distances for little kids... and their parents. The botanic garden is very big and like a park at the entrance. The animals, you have to walk first. Then uphill around the corner the icebears.
