  • The huge ZOO combined with Botanical Garden, well maintained terrain, large greenhouses, aquaria and terraria. I was in September in the middle of the week, so there was no crowds and you can give the pleasure of walking without a break;)

  • We did a small tour of friends, and we went to the Zoo. You don't know how great that is until you start to take turns with the map in his hand. There are a lot of animals, you can there be hours and hours, without getting tired. I would say that the price you pay to enter OK in relation to how big is the Zoo, it is worth. Just enter you find an area of plants, nursery style, each with its specific temperature. Also with the flamingoes, in their small pond. Then you start to find as one small gardens which are those who lead you to start your visit. I loved monkeys are super funny, and my perdition are the Lions and tigers. There are a variety of animals, I loved school, the area that it seems that you are coming to a farm with pigs, cows, and other, they are left to play. Worth a go, there's a lot variety of animals, you will love!

  • The Zoo is easily accessible and has an adjacent parking garage. Admission price is ok with distinction for summer and winter. The Park is beautifully landscaped and the distances to the animals not too far. Everything is well signposted. There are also many feeds where you can watch.

  • Beautiful zoo in terms of architecture that was former bathhouse of Duke Wilhelm I inspired from Moorish style of Alhambra palace. Gardens, fountains, statues and all floral design are amazing. There are enormous amount of animals, birds, insects, fishes from around the world. Parking place safe of weather, restaurant and other options for lunch.
  • This was a really fantastic zoo and botanical gardens. The setting is magical and they have some species that I have never seen or heard of before (having mainly visited zoos in America). Most of their animal exhibits are on par with (or even nicer than) what you see in nicer American zoos (think San Diego) and you can see that they are continually working to update and provide larger/more enriched enclosures. My favorite animal exhibits were the Bolivian squirrel monkeys (which I'd never seen before) and the exhibit in which a species of sheep, a small baboon species, and rock hyrax were all living together--they had just been fed and their interactions were really fun to watch. The botanical gardens portion is really lovely (visiting botanical gardens are one of my favorite things to do whenever I travel). The grounds are much bigger than I'd been expecting and we easily spent 4-5 hours there and could have stayed longer, but it was getting towards closing. This was a highlight of my trip and if I lived here I'd visit all the time. Definitely worth going.
  • Cool botanical and zoo park. Huge territory with various plants, animals and climate zones. But big minus is there are no any convenient signs to show you route you can follow, only big map at several places and some directions( Not enough for such beautiful and huge park )
  • Best day spent at this zoo. Wonderful animals and you can get so close to animals! The garden is gorgeous too.
  • We were in Stuttgart in December. This was a nice place to be on a cold dreary day when it had snowed that morning. The atriums well wonderful. Very educational. We loved the aquarium and terrarium. Wood fires were also setup around one out water feature for roasting weiners. Our lunch at the restaurant was very filling and service was warm, friendly, and very helpful.

Where to stay in Stuttgart

Stuttgart's city center offers a number of lodging options near major sites, but consider areas just outside the center for better deals. For example, Stuttgart-West is within walking distance from the center and boasts its fair share of cafes, restaurants, markets, and theaters. Two more areas, Stuttgart-Ost and Stuttgart-Süd, are also centrally located and full of local character.
