It was still really great. Most animals have a great outdoor enclosure and the parks are insanely beautiful. There is incredibly much to explore for young and old. My absolute favorite are the lily pond, the Butterfly House and the large outdoor area of the apes. It is advisable under the Walters to go since it is always quite full during nice weather.

The entrance is expensive (with extra parking) but the zoo is huge. Plan a day and take your picnic: the food on site is rare, bad and expensive! The tropical greenhouse is beautiful. Gorillas and bonobos Pavilion is an architectural achievement. Not being very fond of zoo I say than squirrels in freedom in this by huge trees are the highlight of the show!

  • The zoo might not be the most beautiful over all, but certain sections are wonderful: the butterfly room is an example. The botanical gardens are included in the normal ticket, and they are great! All the rooms are specially beautiful, with a 1880s wrought iron lattice style mixed with glass. The flower room changes every few months and it is wonderful to be in a room filled with flowers from the floor to the ceiling.
  • Really nice zoo and a botanic garden. Perfect for kids. Bring a stroller for the smallest since there is a good chance to get tired legs on the way down towards the exit.
  • One of the best zoo we ever visited. Gardens are amazing. Great for families as there are many playgrounds.
  • Excellent Zoo with lots of animals and space for kids to play. One of the best Zoos I have ever been. It is also extremely beautiful.
  • Beautiful place beautiful animals but make sure that you check climate condition before you go because animals could be hiding due to cold

Where to stay in Stuttgart

Stuttgart's city center offers a number of lodging options near major sites, but consider areas just outside the center for better deals. For example, Stuttgart-West is within walking distance from the center and boasts its fair share of cafes, restaurants, markets, and theaters. Two more areas, Stuttgart-Ost and Stuttgart-Süd, are also centrally located and full of local character.
