  • Fun to take the self-guided tour through this amazing development. The interpretive signs were very helpful even though we didn't have time to visit the museum.  more »
  • Very good Museum, the Museum helps to understand the neighborhood and its history. Small museum, but the size of the House which houses it does not do more.

  • Half museum of le Corbusier and the collective modern designed buildings in the project area and more excitingly the other half left as it was meant to be with kitchen, sliding doors, roll away beds. ...  more »

  • The "Le Corbusier house" is now a museum and includes the Weissenhof Information Center. Great place to visit for people loving architecture.
  • Love the architecture, museum is very intresting.
  • “A 1927 house which never dated and still able to inspire” Have read about Le Corbusier house in architecture books many times before and it's great that I could finally visit it during the trip to Stuttgart. The house in fact is one of the work in a village of houses with similar minimalists design by the architects in the same era. To me, the ideas/design of Le corbusier house have certainly had great impacts upon the design of buildings in the past 50 years. This is a must see for people who are into designs/arts etc.
  • n 1927, each from a group of Modern European architects including Walter Gropius, Mies and Le Corbusier designed a town house in Weissenhof Estate ( master plan by Mies) as a exposition in Stuttgart to show their vision and insight of housing for the future in highly industrialised world at that time. Most of the houses are survived from War damage but only the one designed by Le Corbusier is now open to public as a museum and sample unit. It is a must-see for modern architecture lovers.
  • The best museum for Architects in Stuttgart!

Where to stay in Stuttgart

Stuttgart's city center offers a number of lodging options near major sites, but consider areas just outside the center for better deals. For example, Stuttgart-West is within walking distance from the center and boasts its fair share of cafes, restaurants, markets, and theaters. Two more areas, Stuttgart-Ost and Stuttgart-Süd, are also centrally located and full of local character.
