4.6/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web
Open to the public since 1918, Palace Square (Schlossplatz) is one of the largest plazas in Stuttgart. A former military parade ground, the tree-lined square hosts part of Koningstrasse, the city's main shopping street. The fountain and Jubilee Column are striking features. The palace complex houses the Wurttemburg Museum and Baden-Wurttemburg government ministries. Wander among the plaza's lawns and flowerbeds, which offer plenty of places to rest. The square and its buildings suffered extensive damage during World War II. Huge restoration projects since have been bringing it back to its former glory. • In the heart of Stuttgart, it's main Meeting point, if there is one thing to remember in the city is this place from all: the Koenigstrasse, seen on the station and its Mercedes, goshawks green spaces of the Castle, terraces, entertainment logo on Sunday...

  • The square has something for everyone. It's well worth visiting both during the day and at night as the atmosphere completely changes.
  • If the Palace had to be Prussian Versailles is quite a bit of it to the French. A smaller, poorer cousin.

  • One of the nicest places in the city. This is a really big plaza right in the center of the Stuttgart. You can easily walk there from the main station in just a few minutes or just take the tram to the station "Schlossplatz" right away. There are two really big and beautiful fountains which come in handy during the summer when it's burning hot and you can cool your feet down in the water. There are often festivals and concerts which makes the plaza turn really crowded, and there is also a shopping mall across the courtyard with plenty of shops and places to eat, as well as 2 hours of free WiFi.
  • Visit in the early mornings because anytime after 9/10AM, the square is just going to keep crowded. If you do make it early, it is really beautiful.
  • no.1 shopping street in stuttgart.and this place is amazing you can rest here and chat here with is always crowded place nice ti sitiing here.
  • One of my favorite things about coming here is how if you take the train, as you come up the escalator this amazing view overwhelms your senses. You go from being underground to being in the heart of Stuttgart surrounded by beautiful grass, buildings, statues, and fountains. In the summer this is a great place for an impromptu picnic on the grass, in the winter come for the wonderful Christmas Market. From here the most amazing shops can be found as well.
  • A lively place in downtown Stuttgart where one can relax, gather with friends, and otherwise enjoy oneself. Always something to experience there. Easily accessible by U-Bahn.
