  • The new Palace, also called (New Castle), is an elegant building which is located at the southern end of the Palace Square, Schlossplatz, which is the beautiful central square in Stuttgart. The Schlossplatz is near other two-seater popular in the city of Stuttgart, the Karlsplatz, (to the South) and the Schillerplatz, (to the Southwest). All these places are tourist attractions in the city. The castle was built in late Baroque style. From the year 1746 until the year 1797 and from the year 1805 to 1807 elano, it served as the residence of the Kings of Württemberg. The castle was destroyed almost completely by the Allied bombing during the second world war, (as most of the city), and was rebuilt in 1958 and in 1964. During all this period of time most of the interior of the castle was also restored and served as headquarters to the Parliament of the State of Baden-Württemberg. The environment in which it is located is great, gardens, Lake, fountains... other buildings of historical interest... Not to be missed, in the city.
