Gift & Specialty Shop
A center for trade and commerce as far back as the 13th century, Stuttgart built its first market hall on this square in 1450--however, Markthalle Stuttgart as you see it today was built in the Art Nouveau style and inaugurated in 1914. Inside the market, you can overwhelm your senses as you pass the stands offering vibrant fresh fruits and vegetables, an aromatic abundance of herbs and spices, flowers, fish, meat, cheese, and more. Local and international items alike make up this market, including many organic and eco-friendly products. Enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants in the hall, or pick out your own items for a picnic. • The market hall is found in the heart of Stuttgart, behind the market square. Inside, there are a number of stalls where you can take some small snacks. All kinds of vegetables, fruit, and meat, cheese and other delicacies wait here for a. Among other things also wines and other drinks. In the summer, you can visit the restaurant before the market Hall. Once by strolling and be inspired at the stands for the purchases.

  • Market hall Stuttgart is class! Offering fantastic. The history steeped in Hall... But unfriendly and Pacifico, are some of the stand owner if you "only" a small bowl to the right food would like to buy. Eg the Halva Antipasto stand at the entrance is towards Schlossplatz / Königstraße so a booth, you should rather avoid at a relaxed shopping dining excursion as well as the Italian restaurant on the upper floor (terribly condescending operation and almost 30 min wait, until you must pay its Bill - in the empty restaurant in the morning -. Otherwise, the market hall is always a trip worth.

  • Enough has been reported about the diversity and the quality of the offered goods. As Schwabe, the offers from the ALB and Hohenlohe irritate me. I also like the bandwidth at dinner: snacks, Swabian food, Italians on the 1st floor. S U P E R for me is, however, Merz and Benzing here can I get rid with every visit time and money.

  • A good mix of food. The prices are relatively high, but the quality is there ! Enjoy the beautiful shop in the upper part!
  • Great place to find hard to get ingredients from a wide variety of cooking traditions. Great prepared foods as well.
  • It's always a fun time to just go there and browse through the selection of international goods. They sell very exotic foods there which makes it fun to explore. However it's also really expensive. Aside the building is beautiful and looks very historic. I can highly recommend going if you are in Stuttgart
  • Excellent selection of specialty foods from around Europe. Especially good selection of Italian and Spanish items. Expect that most things will be a bit more expensive than the grocery store, but mostly come here for the high quality products that cannot be found in the grocery store.
  • One of the neatest finds in Stuttgart. Huge selection of great food and beverages. Made me wish I lived in Stuttgart.
