Koenigstrasse, Stuttgart
(3.8/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Koenigstrasse puts you in one of Stuttgart's busiest areas, in the heart of the city. Shoppers especially will enjoy combing the entire 1.2 km (0.75 mi) long street. You'll find many familiar big-name brands and high-street shops, plus restaurants and cafes. The Palace Square and castle are at one end. Allied bombing during the World War II destroyed much of Stuttgart's urban zone. Many structures have been rebuilt in Classical style. • Many business lines to each other. Saturdays full and overflow. The highlight is the Königsbau with its Cafés and the shopping arcade. It lacks the flair of other major cities.
