Stralsunder Rathaus, Stralsund
(4.6/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Nestled in the heart of one of Pomerania's most historic towns, Stralsunder Rathaus represents some of the finest Brick architecture in Germany, first referenced in records from the 13th century. You can't help but marvel at the impressive construction of the Gothic building set on the main town square. Intricate windows and spires adorn the building that is still used today as the head of Stralsund's administration. Keep an eye out for the colorful crests and coats of arms of former Hanseatic League members, located on several sides of the building. It has an unusual vaulted interior, open-ceilinged hallways, and a passage to the nearby Church of St. Nicholas. • The central square of the town itself is beautiful, old-style German cities, but the Town Hall stands out even on its background. You can see that the medieval townspeople invested a lot of manpower and resources to demonstrate the greatness and richness of Stralsund.

  • This building from the 13th century with its facade, is unique in the North of Germany. It is the brand of the city of Stralsund. Has the square of the market to the front with many restaurants and cafes to enjoy the view to this impressive building. Down the aisle public in the Middle, the visitor can pass and see part of the interior.
