German Oceanographic Museum (Deutsches Meeresmuseum), a popular museum in North Germany, displays maritime and oceanographic exhibits. The large fish tank, where you can watch large sea turtles swim, is a special highlight. Don't miss the collection of shells and the whale skeleton. • As in the USSR, churches, monasteries and other buildings associated with the faith in God, in the GDR were used for different purposes. Here and here, the Oceanographic Museum is housed in the monastery of St. Catherine. This museum can be visited on the combo ticket for 23 euros, which I bought in the Ozeaneum, you can buy tickets at the Museum. Exposure is much smaller than in the Ozeaneum, but see also have that. I'm not sorry that combined these 2 Museum.

  • Is a beautiful and very interesting museum that much appeal to children through the biodiversity that's here to there.

  • Also, when the Maritime Museum in the year, it has subsided of educational knowledge in anything. It is suitable especially for students. Here, history with the sea and its inhabitants is very well connected. The representations are very picturesque and appealing. Again, this is instructive loosening up with aquariums. The ideal situation would be to logistics and personnel behavior from the Ozeaneum here begin to be incorporated.

  • A very good and educational museum where you easily can spend many hours. Even the building and the modern adaptation of the ancient is interesting (when you are a former steel builder like me). Very nice models of boats, trapping, fishing nets, etc., that clearly explains the methods and practices.
  • A really cool museum with the history of the local fisheries and sealife.
  • The older part of the meeresmuseum-ozeaneum ensemble. Some of the exhibition pieces are aged, but still nice to look at and their meaning is not old in any way. e sure to take a tour through the aquamarine area!
  • quite old exhibition, nothing in english plus only for aquariums
  • It's definitely much worse than Ozeaneum - you can go there in case you bought combo ticket, but actually you won't find nothing special there.
