  • This is the original ocean museum in Stralsund before the Ozeanum was built. We checked with locals prior to going as we didn't understand the distinction. Apparently this has the tropical fish, coral...  more »
  • Visited the museum with two kids (6 and 8 years old). Had thought it was relatively small now that they had build the new Oceaneum too, but it just went on and on. We used a lot of time in there. Lots...  more »

  • A lot of fun for the younglings and lots to see. A bit tight on space when crowded.
  • Personally I prefer this one over the Ozeaneum. You should check out both though.
  • A very good and educational museum where you easily can spend many hours. Even the building and the modern adaptation of the ancient is interesting (when you are a former steel builder like me). Very nice models of boats, trapping, fishing nets, etc., that clearly explains the methods and practices.
  • A really cool museum with the history of the local fisheries and sealife.
  • The older part of the meeresmuseum-ozeaneum ensemble. Some of the exhibition pieces are aged, but still nice to look at and their meaning is not old in any way. e sure to take a tour through the aquamarine area!
