  • Whether summer or winter the Burgruine Hohentwiel is a highlight in every season. It has great views of the beautiful surroundings, and learns much about the history of the Castle and of the people who lived there. Large parts of the ruins are addicted to while but nevertheless one can imagine very well how it must probably have looked. It should be about 2-3 hours time can watch everything and through to read everything.

  • Were now several times on the imposing ruins of the Castle - always again impressive! It is within walking distance, even if the rise is in places very steep since all paved is going up to the Castle. Also with children an experience! The passenger concert in the courtyard of the castle was gigantic!

  • The Hohentwiel, Germany's biggest castle ruin is worth a visit at any time. It can be by, hike, or drives the car on the middle station up to the Hohentwielgaststätte. There you can find the shed with ticket sales for the entrance to the ruins. The ruins themselves is not necessarily suitable for wheelchair users. Before you enter the actual ruins, can be found above even a small kiosk for a short boost. From the bastion of Karl, you have great views of singing and in good visibility you can see Lake Constance and the Alps. The visit of the ruins is recommended but not always easy to walk. Begegenen an interesting history sections and again wonderful views of the Hegau, which Alps and Lake Constance.

  • The trip from Singen Train Station takes approximately 1.5 hours by walk but you can also take a taxi and drive almost to the top. It is a large complex with lots of ruins and rocks. With good weather conditions you can see lake constance, city of constance and the alps. Great location for children with lots of information about the history of this castle.
